UEE31220 - Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control

WHO IS THIS COURSE AIMED AT?

The UEE31220 - Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control is classified as a Class B qualification under the Vocational Education and Training act 1996 (the Act) S60I(2). At Tech Skills Australia, this qualification is achieved by using RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) as prescribed by the Vocational Education and Training Act 1996 (the Act) S60I(2):

RESTRICTED CLASS B QUALIFICATIONS: BEING QUALIFICATIONS THAT CAN ONLY BE OBTAINED BY FULFILLING THE OBLIGATIONS OF AN APPRENTICE UNDER A TRAINING CONTRACT EXCEPT:

• a person who is temporarily living in Australia on a student visa (i.e. onshore international students) may obtain the qualification through a registered training provider approved to deliver a course for the qualification; or
• a person seeking recognition of prior learning under s60I of the Vet Act.

ELIGIBILITY FOR COURSE ENROLMENT:

A current ‘Unrestricted Electricians’ licence and evidence of past instrumentation work experience is mandatory. The candidate must submit evidence of prior learning which will be verified by Tech Skills Australia before the student can enroll for this qualification.

REQUIREMENT TO ACHIEVE THE FULL QUALIFICATION - UEE31220 Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control:

Evidence of sufficient past Instrumentation experience is mandatory. The candidate will be issued with a RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) kit together with a Registration and Work Recognition (RWR) form documenting hours of past instrumentation experience prior to enrolment. A minimum number of hours of instrumentation field experience is required prior to undertaking this qualification. It is a mandatory requirement that your work experience is authenticated by the supervisor or person responsible at the time the work experience was achieved and as stated on the RWR document. You will also be required to complete a series of challenge testing to ascertain your Instrumentation knowledge before the qualification can be awarded.
