WHO IS THIS COURSE AIMED AT?

This UEE40620 - Certificate IV in Electrotechnology – System Electrician course has been designed as gap training and a transitional pathway for qualified electricians and graduates of electrical trade (AQF III) who desire a qualification as an system electrician.

The candidate will gain tremendous knowledge through our elective units which emphasises the use of:

  • PLC’s
  • HMI’s
  • Field process instrumentation with HART configuration
  • Analog and digital communication plus more

SCOPE

This qualification provides competencies to select, install, commission, fault find field instrumentation and electrical systems typically installed in explosion protection areas. You will gain knowledge and “hands on” skills in.

  • PLC’s field instrumentation using HART configuration tools with DTM’s
  • PID knowledge in controlling closed loops

This qualification includes all ERAC requirements for issuance of an 'Electrician's licence'

ELIGIBILITY FOR COURSE ENROLMENT

Candidates must hold a current Unrestricted Electricians licence

Entry Requirements

The entry requirement for this qualification is:
UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
or
a current ‘Unrestricted Electricians Licence’ or its equivalent issued in an Australian state or territory.
