FUNDED TRAINING AVAILABLE

The West Australian government has made funding available for its residence for the UEE42622 – Certificate IV in Hazardous areas - Electrical. The government has identified the training programs that take priority which in turn will equip West Australians with the necessary skills required to find jobs. This funded programme is administered through Jobs & Skills WA

ELIGIBILITY FOR FUNDING

  • Must be an Australian citizen or hold permanent residency in Australia or a holder of visa subclass 309, 820, 826
  • Dependant of or holder of a subclass visa 457
  • Must Reside in Western Australia
  • A current ‘Unrestricted Electricians’ licence

    • Specific installation requirements for different types of Ex techniques
    • The common testing procedures in the hazardous areas
    • Practical assessments – Installation and detailed inspection using on-site training bays
    • Different types of cable glanding and learn how to select the right cable gland for different sizes and types of cable.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirement for this qualification is:
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
or
a current ‘Unrestricted Electricians Licence’ or its equivalent issued in an Australian state or territory.
